Aberdour Primary School poetry competition

Since 2011, the Aberdour Cultural Association has sponsored an annual poetry competition at Aberdour Primary School. The winner and four ‘highly commended’ entries receive book tokens, and every entry receives a ‘certificate of appreciation.’ There is also one winner each year of the Blake Trophy for Originality. All entries are displayed in the village during the Aberdour Festival.

The 2024 winner was Drew Riach.

The 2024 winner of the Blake Trophy for Originality was Martha Toddie-Moore.
