Arthur Lloyd’s Walk Through History
We invite you, from the comfort of your seat, on a filmed walk through the village of Aberdour, where every street, building and boundary tells a story. As we explore, Arthur Lloyd uncovers how centuries of daily life have shaped the village’s character, from its earliest origins to the community you see today.
The layout of roads, the position of homes, and the marks left by Landowners, communities and industry all reveal a living history formed over hundreds of years. By looking closely and moving at walking pace, Arthur explores how the past continues to influence the present in this quietly evolving village.
During the Aberdour Festival 2023, Arthur Lloyd led a Walk Around Aberdour (three times during that week as it was so popular!) and there was a lot of interest in it being repeated, so that’s what Arthur did! Between February 2024 and September 2025, 246 people joined Arthur in a walk of discovery, spotting evidence of living history. Each person paid £5 to join a walk and all the money went to Alzheimer Scotland, raising a total of £1,320.
